E-citizen director General Isaac Ochieng has dismissed claims by auditor General Nancy Gathungu that the state has little control over the e-citizen self-service payment portal. A humanitarian crisis is looming in Ahero, Kisumu county after floods rendered most families homeless with roads converted to lakes. Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura says the overflowing of river Nyando has heavily impacted the river Nyando bridge with the Nairobi - Kisii - Homabay highway becoming impassable..already 238 have died from the heavy downpour.

The 11 member select committee probing the impeachment grounds for removal of agriculture cabinet secretary Mithika Linturi from office is now entering a crucial stage in the next two days as both parties will submit before parliament.
